Honda Enters Indian EV Market with Activa e
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) has officially launched the much-anticipated Activa e, its first electric scooter for the Indian market. This strategic move positions Honda as a key player in India’s burgeoning electric vehicle segment.
Key Features of the Activa e The Activa e is designed to cater to Indian consumer preferences, offering a range of up to 102 kilometers on a single charge thanks to its swappable battery packs. The scooter also incorporates advanced connectivity features through the RoadSync Duo suite, enabling users to make calls and navigate via Bluetooth smartphone pairing.
A Step Towards a Greener Future Honda’s launch of the Activa e aligns with its global commitment to electrify its product lineup. The company aims to introduce 30 electric models by 2030, and the Activa e serves as a significant step towards this ambitious goal.
Availability and Battery-Sharing Service The Activa e will be available for purchase in Bengaluru, Delhi, and Mumbai starting Spring 2025. To further enhance the convenience of electric mobility, Honda will also introduce its battery-sharing service, Honda e:Swap, utilizing Mobile Power Pack e in these cities. This service will be operated by Honda Power Pack Energy India Private Limited.
Diverse Color Options The Activa e is offered in two variants: Standard and Sync Duo. Both variants are available in a range of attractive colors, including Pearl Igneous Black, Pearl Shallow Blue, Pearl Serenity Blue, Matt Foggy Silver Metallic, and Pearl Misty White.
