US-based technology firm Garmin has unveiled two new smartwatches. These include the Forerunner 970 and Forerunner 570. They are designed for runners and fitness enthusiasts.

Key Features:

  • Display: Both watches feature circular OLED touchscreen displays with always-on support. The Forerunner 570 has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, while the Forerunner 970 boasts a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal lens.
  • Design and Size: The Forerunner 570 comes in 42mm and 47mm sizes. The Forerunner 970 is available in a 47mm size with a titanium bezel.
  • Health and Wellness Tracking: Both watches include blood oxygen saturation (SpO2), skin temperature sensors, heart rate, sleep, and stress monitors.
  • Training and Performance: They support Garmin’s Triathlon Coach training plan and custom multisports workout routines.
  • Battery Life: The Forerunner 570 lasts up to 10-11 days on a single charge. The Forerunner 970 can last up to 15 days on a single charge.

  • Forerunner 970: Priced at $749.99 (approximately Rs. 64,200)
  • Forerunner 570: Priced at $549.99 (approximately Rs. 47,100)
  • Both smartwatches will be available for sale via Garmin’s official e-store starting May 21.

  • Forerunner 970: Includes an inbuilt torch, ECG app, and running tolerance tracker. It also supports tracking energy efficiency levels with the HRM 600 heart rate monitor.
