Meta Launches Ray-Ban Display Smart Glasses with Augmented Reality Screen
Meta unveiled its latest innovation, the Ray-Ban Display smart glasses, at the Meta Connect event. These glasses feature an augmented reality screen and advanced AI capabilities.
Key Features:
- Display: A 600 x 600 resolution screen with a 20-degree field of vision and peak brightness of 5,000 nits
- Camera: 12-megapixel shooter with 3X zoom, capturing images up to 3,024 x 4,032p resolution and 1080p videos at 30fps
- Meta Neural Band: A wristband that captures minute muscle movements, allowing users to control actions via gestures
- Battery Life: Up to 6 hours of mixed use, extendable to 30 hours with the charging case
Availability and Pricing:
The Meta Ray-Ban Display smart glasses will go on sale on September 30 in the US. Prices will start at $799 (approximately Rs 70,100). This includes the glasses and the Meta Neural Band. They will be available at Best Buy, LensCrafters, Sunglass Hut, and Ray-Ban stores. Expansion to Canada, France, Italy, and the UK is planned for early 2026. Unfortunately, an India launch is not currently planned.
