The rollout begins in India and the United States. It is available for users who have their Google Account language set to English (US). Google says more regions and languages will get access soon.

Google has not shared full details. However, the model will likely allow users to perform AI-powered image edits directly within Lens or AI Mode. Users may be able to capture or upload an image. They can type a prompt and instantly edit it. This will work just like it can in Gemini.

Interface and Functionality Yet to Be Seen

The placement of the Nano Banana icon and the interface design will be key. The prompt bar is central to how the tool works. Currently, Gadgets 360 staff members reported that they haven’t seen the feature appear on their devices yet.

Part of a Larger Expansion

This update follows shortly after Google added Nano Banana to NotebookLM’s Video Overviews. The AI now powers six new styles — Anime, Heritage, Papercraft, Retro Print, Watercolour, and Whiteboard.

Google also announced new features for NotebookLM. A redesigned mobile app is rolling out. It features a new studio design. It also allows users to create multiple audio overviews per notebook. These overviews can be in different languages and lengths.
