OnePlus is set to launch its latest flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 15, in China on October 27. The device will feature a third-generation 1.5K BOE Flexible Oriental OLED display. It has a 165Hz refresh rate. This is a downgrade from the 2K panel used in the OnePlus 13.

Why the Lower Resolution?
OnePlus China President Li Jie Louis explained that achieving a 2K resolution and 165Hz refresh rate combination was difficult. This was due to technological limitations in luminescent materials and circuit technology. However, the company overcame these challenges with a customized X3 luminous material and redesigned screen circuit and chip.
Global Launch
The OnePlus 15 is expected to launch globally on November 13, with an Indian launch likely to follow soon after. The device will come in three colors: Sand Dune, Absolute Black, and Mist Purple
