Motorola Edge 70 Ultra: Leaks Hint at a Flagship Powerhouse
Motorola is gearing up for another major release. The company recently launched the Motorola Edge 70 in select global markets. The phone features a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor and a slim, lightweight design.
Now, early leaks suggest a more powerful model is on the way — the Motorola Edge 70 Ultra.
A New Flagship in the Making
The Edge 70 Ultra is said to come with flagship-level specifications.
It will reportedly feature a 1.5K OLED display.
Under the hood, it might run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, which Qualcomm is yet to announce.
The new chip is expected to be unveiled later this month.
The phone may also include a periscope telephoto camera, a feature usually seen in high-end smartphones.
Design-wise, it is expected to remain slim and lightweight, similar to the Edge 70.
This positions it as a direct competitor to the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge and iPhone Air.

Recap: Motorola Edge 70
The Motorola Edge 70 debuted globally last week.
It features a 6.67-inch display, a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, and a 4,800mAh silicon-carbon battery.
The phone measures only 5.99mm thick.
It sports a 50MP rear camera and a 50MP front camera.
The Ultra version is expected to surpass these specs.
Successor to Edge 50 Ultra
The Motorola Edge 70 Ultra will likely succeed the Edge 50 Ultra, launched in India in June 2024.
The Edge 50 Ultra came with a 6.7-inch 1.5K LTPS pOLED display and a 144Hz refresh rate.
It ran on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage.
The phone was priced at Rs. 59,999 in India.
High-End Features Expected
The Edge 50 Ultra supported 125W TurboPower fast charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse charging.
It had a triple rear camera setup — 50MP main, 50MP ultra-wide, and 64MP telephoto.
The upcoming Edge 70 Ultra could retain or enhance these features.
Outlook
Motorola seems focused on expanding its premium lineup.
The Edge 70 Ultra might use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip. This will happen if the leaks are true. It could be one of the first smartphones with this feature.
It may also redefine Motorola’s position in the flagship market.
The official announcement is expected soon after Qualcomm’s chipset launch event.
Tech enthusiasts are already calling it Motorola’s most ambitious phone yet.
