Samsung Outlines AI-Driven Vision for 2026, Plans to Integrate AI Across All Devices
Samsung has revealed its ambitious roadmap for 2026, placing artificial intelligence (AI) at the centre of its entire product ecosystem.
TM Roh made the announcement during the company’s New Year address. He is the Head of Mobile eXperience (MX) and Device eXperience (DX) Divisions. He is also the President and co-CEO of Samsung Electronics.
The message was echoed by Jeon Young-hyun. He is the Vice Chairman and Head of the Device Solutions (DS) Division. This highlights Samsung’s growing focus on AI across products, services, and semiconductor development.
“AI Must Be Integrated Into All Devices” — TM Roh
In a press statement released by the company, Roh outlined Samsung’s long-term strategy.
“We must organically integrate AI technology into all devices and service ecosystems in the DX sector. This approach will provide customers with the best possible experience. Through this, we can leap forward as a leading company in the AI transformation,” Roh said.
According to Roh, AI is not just a feature. It is a fundamental transformation of how Samsung designs products. It also changes how employees work.
Internally, Samsung refers to this shift as AX (AI Experience).
He believes that embedding AI capabilities into devices will allow Samsung to strengthen its market leadership. It will also deliver smarter and more intuitive user experiences.
AI Expansion Beyond Smartphones and Appliances
Currently, several Samsung smartphones and home appliances already support on-device AI processing.
If Roh’s vision is fully realised, future Samsung devices across categories may also gain cloud-based AI features.
Samsung has not yet disclosed its plans for introducing AI capabilities into non-connected devices. This omission leaves questions about their implementation strategies.
Jeon Highlights AI Semiconductor Growth
In a separate address, Jeon Young-hyun focused on Samsung’s semiconductor roadmap.
As head of the DS division, Jeon emphasised Samsung’s “one-stop solution” approach across logic chips and memory. He also highlighted the focus on foundry services and advanced packaging.
He noted that 2026 will see unprecedented demand for AI semiconductors, positioning Samsung to capitalise on rapid industry growth.
“HBM4 has demonstrated its distinctive competitiveness, earning customers the praise of ‘Samsung is back.’ We must reclaim our fundamental technological competitiveness in memory. The foundry business has entered a period of significant growth,” Jeon said.
Samsung is reportedly on track. It may become the first company to begin mass production of HBM4 high-bandwidth memory. This could happen as early as February.
A Unified AI Future
The statements from Roh and Jeon together present a clear message.
Samsung is aligning devices, services, and semiconductor innovation around artificial intelligence. This alignment is in preparation for the next era of consumer technology.
The company’s 2026 vision signals a major transformation in the function of Samsung products. They will be smarter and more connected. Additionally, they will be deeply powered by AI.
