Nvidia GeForce Now Launches on Amazon Fire TV in India

Nvidia’s GeForce Now launches on Amazon Fire TV in India, enabling cloud gaming without high-end hardware.

Nvidia Expands GeForce Now to Amazon Fire TV Devices in India

Nvidia showcased its GeForce Now cloud gaming service in India this February. Users stream AAA titles straight to smartphones, smart TVs, tablets, and laptops. They access games via browsers alone. Moreover, a stable internet connection suffices—no high-end hardware required.

The service launches soon in the country. Ahead of that, Nvidia rolls out a dedicated GeForce Now app for select Amazon Fire TV sticks. The app is available on Fire TV Stick 4K Plus (2nd Gen). It also reaches Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2nd Gen) running Fire OS 8.1.6.0 or later. Additionally, Fire TV Stick 4K Max (1st Gen) users with Fire OS 7.7.1.1 or newer gain access too.

Nvidia plans broader rollout to other Fire TV models. Players enjoy streams at 1080p/60fps with standard dynamic range. The app uses H.264 encoding and stereo audio for smooth play. Users simply connect compatible controllers.

GeForce Now eliminates console or powerful PC needs. It beams games like IO Interactive’s upcoming 007: First Light from cloud servers. Recently, the app arrived on Linux devices, expanding beyond Windows and Mac.

On February 10, Nvidia demoed the service in India. It now challenges Microsoft’s Xbox cloud gaming, available here since November 2025. Gamers eagerly await the full Indian debut. Nvidia positions GeForce Now as the ultimate hardware-free gaming solution.
