AMD and TCS Unveil Advanced AI Platform for Next-Gen Data Centers

AMD and TCS expand their partnership to develop a cutting-edge AI platform for diverse industries.

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) announced a major expansion of their partnership on Monday. The two companies will jointly develop a cutting-edge rack-scale AI platform. This new platform builds on AMD’s Helios system. It aims to speed up research and innovation across many industries.

AMD combines its powerful data centre processors with TCS’s strong integration and services skills. Together, they create high-performance compute infrastructure. Customers gain tools for complex workloads. This collaboration delivers tailored solutions that boost efficiency.

The platform supports demanding tasks like artificial intelligence, machine learning, data analytics, and scientific research. It uses AMD Instinct MI455X GPUs. Next-generation AMD EPYC “Venice” CPUs power the system. AMD Pensando Vulcano NICs handle advanced networking. The open ROCm software ecosystem completes the setup.

These technologies form a complete rack-scale AI platform. It serves sovereign AI factories and modern data centres. The design offers high compute density. It provides excellent networking for large AI and ML workloads.

Dr. Lisa Su, Chair and CEO of AMD, highlighted the benefits. She said, “With ‘Helios,’ we deliver an open, rack-scale AI platform. It focuses on performance, efficiency, and long-term flexibility.”

The architecture stays flexible. Customers can customize it easily. It supports hybrid cloud setups. Enhanced networking and optimised software stacks help AI and analytics tasks.

AMD and TCS will also launch an AI-ready data centre blueprint. This blueprint handles up to 200MW of capacity. It gives a scalable framework for hyperscalers, enterprises, and AI companies. They plan to build or expand next-generation data centres.

The partners will accelerate data centre growth in India. They work closely with hyperscalers and AI firms. This move strengthens India’s role in global AI infrastructure.

Overall, the expanded collaboration promises faster innovation. It equips businesses with powerful tools. Customers achieve better performance and scalability. The future looks bright for AI-driven growth in the region. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting partnership!
