Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Launched in India
Samsung has introduced its latest flagship, the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The company also launched the standard Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ models. This new Ultra stands out with advanced features and premium design.
The device boasts a large 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. It offers a sharp 3,120 × 1,440 resolution and smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Moreover, the screen supports 10-bit color for vivid visuals. A new Privacy Display feature limits visibility beyond a 30-degree angle. Corning Gorilla Armor 2 protects the panel from scratches and drops.
Under the hood, the phone runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. This powerful processor is customized for Galaxy devices. It pairs with up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TB storage. The software includes One UI 8.5 based on Android 16.
Samsung has expanded Galaxy AI capabilities. Now Assist suggests actions from on-screen content. Call Screen handles unknown calls and provides live transcripts. Photo Assist enables easy AI image editing. Creative Studio offers tools for content creation. Additionally, Bixby Device Agent adjusts settings via voice. Privacy Alerts warn about app data access. AI noise reduction works in select apps.
Photography remains a highlight. The quad rear camera system features a 200-megapixel main sensor with f/1.4 aperture and optical stabilization. It includes a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens for 5x optical zoom. A 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 10-megapixel 3x telephoto lens complete the setup. In India, the Galaxy S26 Ultra starts at Rs. 1,39,999 for the 12GB + 256GB version. The 12GB + 512GB model costs Rs. 1,59,999. The top 16GB + 1TB variant is priced at Rs. 1,89,999. Customers can choose from Black, Blue, Purple, and White colors. Sales begin on Amazon and the Samsung India online store.
In the US, prices start at $1,299 for 256GB. The 512GB model costs $1,499, and the 1TB version is $1,799.
