Sony may soon launch the PlayStation 5 Pro in India. The upgraded console first hit global markets in November 2024. Yet Indian fans waited more than a year and a half.
Now, fresh signs point to an early arrival. Analyst Arjun Campbell spotted the device on the Bureau of Indian Standards website. He shared the news on X. The model number CFI-7121 matches the 2025 hardware revision. Gadgets 360 independently confirmed the listing.
Companies always register products on the BIS portal before they sell them locally. This step shows Sony is preparing to release the console. Therefore, fans can expect official news shortly.
Sony faced delays earlier. The PS5 Pro supports fast Wi-Fi 7 technology. India has not yet opened the 6GHz spectrum band. As a result, the company could not introduce the console here or in certain other nations. The new listing does not confirm whether regulators have cleared this issue.
Sony announced the PS5 Pro in November 2024. It delivers stronger performance than the standard PS5. The graphics engine reaches 16.7 teraflops. Storage doubles to 2TB. Sony also added advanced ray-tracing and its new AI upscaling system called PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution.
The console started at $699.99 in the United States. That price equals roughly Rs 64,413. Then, Sony raised the cost by $50 in August 2025. It now sells for $749.99, or about Rs 69,000.
Gamers across India watch eagerly. The PS5 Pro promises sharper visuals and smoother gameplay. Many hope the long wait finally ends.
