JBL has launched a new ultra-portable Bluetooth speaker called the Grip in India.
This compact device brings strong sound with AI enhancements. It supports AI Sound Boost for clearer audio. The feature analyzes music in real time. Then, it optimizes the driver and cuts distortion at high volumes.
Moreover, the speaker includes Auracast technology. Users can pair two units for stereo sound. Alternatively, they can connect multiple compatible speakers for bigger setups.
JBL claims the Grip delivers 16W of powerful JBL Pro Sound. It uses a 43 × 80mm full-range transducer. The frequency range spans 70Hz to 20kHz. Additionally, it offers an 80dB signal-to-noise ratio.
The speaker boasts IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. It also handles drops well. The design draws inspiration from a seltzer can. A rope loop makes carrying or hanging easy. The Grip measures 64 × 153 × 65mm and weighs around 385g. Ambient lighting glows on the back panel for extra style.
Battery life reaches up to 12 hours of playback. Playtime Boost adds two more hours. This mode boosts efficiency and volume. The 10.01Wh Li-ion battery charges fully in about three hours.
Connectivity runs on Bluetooth 5.4. It supports A2DP 1.4 and AVRCP 1.6 profiles. The JBL Portable app works on Android and iOS. Through the app, users customize lighting and tweak settings.
The JBL Grip costs Rs. 11,999 in India. It comes in Black, White, Purple, Red, Blue, and Camo options. Buyers can find it on the official JBL India website. Leading offline stores stock it too. Major e-commerce platforms offer it nationwide.
