Xiaomi launched the new-generation SU7 series in China on Thursday. The company upgraded its popular electric sedan across design, performance, technology, and safety. This facelift version brings fresh features to attract more buyers.
The SU7 now uses CTB battery technology. It delivers a claimed range of up to 902 km under CLTC standards. Moreover, the vehicle relies on a powerful dual-chip system. Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 handles cabin computing. NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Thor powers assisted driving features.
Xiaomi offers the SU7 in three trims. The Standard model starts at CNY 219,900. The Pro version costs CNY 249,900. The top Max trim carries a price of CNY 303,900. Customers can place pre-orders now through the Xiaomi EV app and WeChat Mini Program. The company has not yet shared plans for sales outside China.
The new SU7 keeps its luxury sedan shape. It measures about 5 metres long with a 3-metre wheelbase. Designers retained signature elements like water drop headlights and halo taillights. They also added a redesigned front grille with integrated radar. This change improves aerodynamics and sensing.
Buyers enjoy more customisation options. Nine exterior colours are available, including Coastal Blue, Blazing Red, and Viridian Green. Inside, the cabin feels premium. New ambient lighting stretches over 3,600 mm. Seats now offer ventilation, heating, and optional zero-gravity positioning for the front passenger.
Xiaomi introduced an electric front boot with multiple opening modes. The centre console looks more symmetrical and user-friendly. The smart cabin connects seamlessly with Xiaomi’s “Human × Car × Home” ecosystem.
The company fitted Xiaomi Smart Chassis 2.0. It includes double wishbone front suspension and five-link rear suspension. Adaptive air suspension and continuous damper control adjust ride height and stiffness in real time. Additionally, Wet Road AI Detection activates enhanced stability mode automatically. The system uses rain sensors, temperature sensors, microphones, and cameras to judge road grip quickly.
The SU7 supports Wi-Fi 7 and UWB connectivity. A revamped AI voice assistant understands context better. It controls multiple apps smoothly. HyperOS powers the Smart Cabin across all trims. Rear passengers now control all six screens through a remote panel.
Xiaomi added XLA-assisted driving architecture. Drivers use voice commands for actions. The system offers advanced parking and real-time hazard detection. LiDAR, radar, cameras, and ultrasonic sensors provide 360-degree perception.
Owners access Owner Management Mode via the central display or app. This feature limits power output in all drive modes. It still keeps core functions active.
All variants use the HyperEngine V6s Plus motor. Acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph takes as little as 3.08 seconds. Top speed reaches 265 kmph. The Pro trim achieves the longest range of 902 km. Standard offers 720 km, while Max provides 835 km. Fast charging adds up to 670 km in just 15 minutes. A 10-80 percent charge completes in about 12 minutes at a peak rate of 5.2C.
Safety remains a priority. Nine airbags come as standard. The high-strength body uses 2,200 MPa steel. An advanced battery protection system prevents fire or explosion under extreme conditions.
Xiaomi continues to push boundaries in the EV market. This updated SU7 combines strong performance with smart technology. It aims to compete strongly in China’s growing electric vehicle segment.
