Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Series Gets Google Gemini Support
Samsung has started rolling out Google Gemini support to its Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro earbuds. However, this feature is currently limited to devices running One UI 8, which is based on Android 16. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 are the latest Samsung flagships. They are the only devices that currently support this feature.
Key Features:
- Gemini Access: Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro users can access Gemini through their earbuds. They can use touch controls or voice commands like “Hey Google”.
- AI Assistant: Users can ask Gemini to set reminders, summarize messages, or check the weather.
- One UI 8 Integration: A new “Set up Google digital assistant” option is now available. You can find it in the Voice Controls section of the Samsung app. This option allows users to configure Gemini integration.
Availability and Future Updates:
- Current Support: Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 devices currently support Gemini on Galaxy Buds 3 series.
- Future Expansion: Support for other Samsung devices is expected next month as more models receive the One UI 8 update.
- Beta Rollout: Samsung is expanding the One UI 8 beta to more handsets through August and September, including the Galaxy S24 Series and Galaxy Z Fold 6
