Tecno unveiled exciting new devices at MWC 2026 on Monday. The company introduced the Megapad 2 tablet, Watch GT 1S smartwatch, and FreeHear 2 open-ear earbuds. These products strengthen Tecno’s AIoT ecosystem through the OneLeap interconnection platform.
The Megapad 2 targets entertainment, education, and family use. It features an 11-inch 2.5K display with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. TÜV Low Blue Light certification protects users’ eyes. Moreover, the tablet runs on HiOS and packs powerful AI tools.
AI Problem Solving helps with homework and study tasks. AI Translation handles real-time conversion in up to 140 languages across images, calls, meetings, and videos. Additionally, users enjoy AI document summarisation and writing refinement features. The slim 6.6mm body enhances portability. OneLeap integration allows seamless file sharing and screen extension with compatible Tecno phones or PCs.
The Watch GT 1S delivers reliable location tracking. It uses dual-band L1 and L5 GPS for accuracy in cities and remote areas. The smartwatch monitors heart rate, blood oxygen, stress, and sleep patterns. Furthermore, it supports AI-generated watch faces through image-to-image or text-to-image customisation. Users benefit from up to 15 days of battery life and 5ATM water resistance for workouts and daily activities.
The FreeHear 2 adopts an open-ear design with a secure C-bridge clip. TPU material ensures comfort and stability during movement. Users stay aware of surroundings while enjoying audio. The earbuds feature a 10.8mm dual-magnetic driver with a composite diaphragm. They deliver spatial surround sound and minimise leakage through dual pressure-relief holes.
For calls, AI quad-microphone noise cancellation works effectively. Wind-resistant mics and DNN algorithms maintain clarity even in 5m/s winds. Bluetooth 5.4 provides stable connectivity up to 10 metres. Quick pairing and device switching work across phones, tablets, and PCs. Triple-tapping the right earbud activates the voice assistant. Custom modes include Bass, Treble, and Vocal Boost, plus personalised EQ.
Battery performance stands out strongly. A single charge lasts up to 9.5 hours. The case extends total playback to 46 hours. A quick five-minute charge yields 90 minutes of use. Each earbud contains a 60mAh battery. The 600mAh case charges via USB Type-C. IP54 rating guards against dust and splashes. The earbuds weigh 5.4g each. The full set totals 51.7g.
Tecno has not revealed pricing yet. The Megapad 2, Watch GT 1S, and FreeHear 2 will launch in select global markets. Rollout spans the first and second quarters of 2026. More details on specifications and regional pricing will arrive closer to availability.
These launches highlight Tecno’s focus on AI-enhanced, connected devices. They offer practical features for modern lifestyles.
