Vivo X Fold 6: Specs and Leaks Unveiled

Vivo’s upcoming X Fold 6 smartphone features a 7,000mAh battery and a 200-megapixel camera.

Vivo is preparing to launch its next book-style foldable smartphone. The upcoming device, expected to be called Vivo X Fold 6, has appeared in fresh leaks. Although Vivo has not officially confirmed the phone, new details have revealed its key specifications.

The Vivo X Fold 6 will succeed last year’s Vivo X Fold 5. Reports suggest the new model will bring significant upgrades. Most notably, it will feature a much larger battery and a powerful camera system.

According to a reliable tipster, the Vivo X Fold 6 will come with a massive 7,000mAh battery. This battery uses a dual-cell design with capacities of 3,915mAh and 2,845mAh. This marks a big improvement over the 6,000mAh battery found in the Vivo X Fold 5.

Moreover, the 7,000mAh capacity could make the Vivo X Fold 6 the foldable phone with the largest battery. For comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 has only 4,400mAh, while the Oppo Find N6 and Honor Magic V6 offer 6,000mAh and 6,600mAh respectively.

In addition, the Vivo X Fold 6 is expected to feature a 200-megapixel rear camera. The setup will also include a periscope sensor for better zoom performance. This upgrade represents a major jump from the triple 50-megapixel camera system on the Vivo X Fold 5.

Furthermore, the phone is likely to run on Qualcomm’s latest flagship processor. It is widely expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. This will deliver stronger performance compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 used in the previous model.

The leak also hints at a refreshed design and new accessories. However, exact details about the exterior and other features remain unknown for now.

For reference, Vivo launched the X Fold 5 in India last July at a price of Rs. 1,49,999 for the 16GB RAM + 512GB storage variant. It featured an 8.03-inch inner AMOLED screen and a 6.53-inch cover screen.

Overall, the Vivo X Fold 6 appears to focus on battery life and camera power. These improvements could help Vivo compete more strongly in the premium foldable smartphone market.

The company is yet to announce an official launch date. However, with these promising leaks, expectations are growing for the new foldable device.
