Google Unveils Advanced Levels for Gemini AI

Google introduces advanced thinking levels for Gemini AI, enhancing user experience across multiple platforms.

Google Rolls Out New Thinking Levels for Gemini AI

Google has started rolling out advanced thinking levels for its Gemini AI models. The update covers the Gemini app on Android, iOS, and web platforms.

This feature is now available to both free and paid users in several countries, including India. Users can access up to three different thinking modes depending on the model they choose.

Furthermore, Google VP Josh Woodward announced the rollout on X. He confirmed that the new thinking levels support Gemini 3.1 Flash-Lite, Gemini 3.5 Flash, and Gemini 3.1 Pro models.

Moreover, the standard thinking level handles most everyday questions effectively. In addition, the new “Extended Thinking” mode allows Gemini to take more time for complex tasks. This mode delivers deeper analysis and higher quality answers.

However, the most powerful option is “Deep Think.” It offers maximum parallel reasoning and is currently available only to Google AI Ultra subscribers.

Besides this, Google introduced these thinking levels shortly after its Google I/O 2026 developer conference. During the event, the company highlighted several improvements to the Gemini 3.5 series.

Additionally, the Gemini 3.5 Flash model is already live across platforms. The company plans to release Gemini 3.5 Pro later this month to replace the current 3.1 Pro version.

Users in India can now easily switch between these thinking levels in the Gemini app. Early reports suggest that Extended Thinking produces more thoughtful and detailed responses for difficult queries.

This update reflects Google’s continued efforts to make Gemini smarter and more helpful for users worldwide.
