Redmi Note 17 Launches in China with Massive Battery and Vibrant OLED Display
Redmi has officially unveiled the Note 17 in China. This new model serves as the successor to the popular Note 15. The company also introduced the Note 17 Pro alongside it.
The Redmi Note 17 now goes on sale in three attractive colors and three different RAM plus storage combinations. An octa-core Snapdragon 4 series chipset powers the phone. It features a capable 50-megapixel rear camera with LED flash. Most impressively, the device packs a huge 8,000mAh battery with fast charging support.
Pricing and Availability
In China, the base variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage starts at CNY 1,299 (roughly Rs. 18,000). The 8GB + 128GB model costs CNY 1,399 (about Rs. 20,000). The top version with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage comes in at CNY 1,599 (roughly Rs. 23,000).
Buyers can choose from Black, Light Water Green, and Meteor Purple color options. The smartphone is currently available through the official Xiaomi online store in China.

The Redmi Note 17 runs on HyperOS 3 based on Android 16. It boasts a large 7-inch Full HD+ OLED display. This screen offers a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling, and up to 1,800 nits peak brightness. It covers 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and includes wet touch technology for reliable use with damp fingers. The phone also carries an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance.
