HP has made the OmniPad 12 available for purchase in India. The company first launched this tablet in May as its first model designed specifically for the Indian market.
The device features a 12-inch 2K display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor paired with 8GB of RAM. Moreover, it supports expandable storage up to 1TB through a microSD card. The tablet includes a detachable keyboard and ships with Android 16.
Pricing in India starts at Rs. 48,999 for the base model. A higher storage variant with 256GB costs Rs. 54,999. Buyers can choose between Denim Blue and Meteor Silver colour options.
The OmniPad 12 is available through multiple channels. Customers can purchase it on the HP Online Store, Amazon, Flipkart, Reliance Digital, Croma, Vijay Sales, and HP World stores.
Launch offers provide additional value. Eligible SBI and HDFC Bank credit card holders can receive an instant cashback of Rs. 5,000 until 20 August. In addition, HP bundles a one-year subscription worth Rs. 96,000 to several AI services. These include GPT-5, Claude 4, Gemini 2.5, Perplexity, Grok 4, and DeepSeek.
The 12-inch multi-touch display offers a 16:10 aspect ratio and up to 400 nits of brightness. A hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon SM6475Q processor powers the tablet. This chipset closely relates to the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3. The device pairs the processor with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of UFS storage.
HP designed the OmniPad 12 as a 2-in-1 device. The detachable keyboard lets users switch between tablet and laptop modes. In tablet mode, the device weighs 600 grams.
Preloaded educational and skilling applications include iPrep, Lexillion, and Brands.live. For multimedia, the tablet features quad speakers tuned with DTS Ultra and dual high-SNR microphones. It also includes an 8-megapixel front camera and a 13-megapixel rear camera.
Connectivity options cover Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, and a USB Type-C port. A dual-cell 31Wh battery supports the device. HP claims up to 18 hours of battery life on a single charge. In tablet-only mode, the OmniPad 12 measures 283 x 178.1 x 7.3 mm.
