Forza Horizon 6 PS5 Launch Reportedly Pushed to January 2027
Forza Horizon 6 arrived earlier this year on PC and Xbox Series S/X to strong reviews. The open-world racer ranks among the year’s highest-rated games. Reports also say it has sold more than 6 million copies across Steam and Xbox. Developer Playground Games had pointed to a PS5 release later in 2026. A new report now says that plan has slipped, and the PlayStation version will arrive next year.
According to a Wednesday report on Dealabs, the Japan-set racer is now lined up for January 26, 2027. That date would move it out of the original 2026 window. The same report says a physical disc edition will be available on PS5 on launch day. Details on editions and early access are not confirmed yet. On PC and Xbox, the game shipped in Standard, Deluxe, and Premium editions. The Premium edition included four days of early access.
Pricing on PS5 is expected to match the Xbox Series S/X release. In Europe, the reported price is €69.99. In the UK, it is £59.99. A U.S. price of $69.99 is considered likely.
The report also says Xbox and Playground Games are preparing to announce the revised PS5 date sometime this week. Pre-orders on the PlayStation Store are expected to open at the same time. For now, the game can be wishlisted on PS5.
