Google’s Gemini App Redesign: Key Features Unveiled

Google is redesigning the Gemini app for improved visuals, navigation, and user engagement.

Google Plans Major Redesign for Gemini App

Google is developing a fresh redesign for its Gemini app. The update aims to create a more dynamic and visually appealing experience for users. Early reports highlight animated backgrounds, a cleaner layout, and simpler navigation.

The new interface looks more responsive and modern. It places the main prompt area in the center alongside the Gemini logo. Moreover, the background subtly animates and reacts, which gives the app a lively feel.

Users will access features more easily. A plus button at the bottom reportedly opens a unified menu. This menu brings together multiple tools such as image generation, camera input, music, canvas, deep research, guided learning, and file uploads in one place.

The redesign also introduces softer visuals, semi-transparent layers, and smoother transitions. On iOS devices, the app adopts a stylish glass-like effect. In addition, better spacing improves readability and overall comfort.

So far, testers have spotted these changes only on iOS. A Reddit user first shared screenshots of the updated interface. Android users have not received the redesign yet and may need to wait longer.

The rollout remains limited at this stage. Many users still see the older version even on iOS. Google appears to test the changes gradually before a wider release.

This redesign focuses on making Gemini more engaging and user-friendly. It simplifies daily tasks while delivering a premium visual experience. Users can expect a more polished AI companion once the update arrives on both platforms.
