Oppo Launches Reno 15A 5G Smartphone in Select Global Markets
Oppo unveiled the Reno 15A 5G on Thursday as the successor to the Reno 13A. The company has opened pre-orders for the new device in Japan. Customers can choose from three attractive colour options and two RAM-storage variants.
The handset runs on Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 6 series chipset. It pairs this processor with up to 12GB of RAM for smooth performance. Moreover, the phone packs a massive 7,000mAh battery. This battery supports 80W wired fast charging and also offers 50W wireless charging support.
For photography, Oppo equipped the Reno 15A 5G with a triple rear camera system. The setup features a 50-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilisation. Additionally, it includes an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens and a 2-megapixel macro camera. On the front, a 50-megapixel selfie camera handles video calls and portraits effectively.
The device sports a 6.6-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display. This screen refreshes at up to 120Hz and delivers vibrant colours with 1,400 nits peak brightness. Furthermore, it offers strong protection through Corning Gorilla Glass and achieves IP68 + IP69 dust and water resistance ratings.

In Japan, the base 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model costs JPY 64,800, which is roughly Rs. 38,000. Meanwhile, the higher 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is priced at JPY 76,800, about Rs. 45,000. Buyers can currently place pre-orders through the official Oppo Japan online store. The phone comes in Afterglow Pink, Aurora Blue, and Twilight Navy colourways.

The smartphone runs on Android 16-based ColorOS 16. It measures 158 x 75 x 8.3mm and weighs around 202 grams. The display provides a 10-bit panel, 397 ppi density, and 92.8 percent screen-to-body ratio for an immersive viewing experience.
Under the hood, the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset includes performance cores up to 2.2GHz along with an Adreno 710 GPU. The device supports up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. For connectivity, it offers 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, and multiple satellite navigation systems.
