Samsung has expanded the Galaxy S26 lineup with the Galaxy S26 FE. The company aims this Fan Edition model at buyers who want flagship-style features at a lower price.
The phone has first arrived in select international markets. Its starting price is 699 US dollars, or about ₹66,000. It includes a large AMOLED display, a triple-camera setup, a high-capacity battery and Samsung’s latest software.
Sales will begin in selected countries from September 4. However, Samsung has not yet announced the India price or launch date.
The base variant comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. Higher configurations may offer up to 512GB storage. Therefore, buyers can choose a model based on their storage needs.
The Galaxy S26 FE uses a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate. As a result, scrolling and animations appear smoother than on standard 60Hz panels. Peak brightness can reach up to 1,900 nits. This helps outdoor visibility in bright light.
Samsung powers the phone with the Exynos 2500 chipset. The processor is built on a 3nm process. On the software side, the device runs One UI 9 based on Android 17. In addition, it carries an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance under supported conditions.
The rear camera setup includes three sensors. A 50MP primary camera comes with optical image stabilisation. A 12MP ultra-wide camera offers a 123-degree field of view. An 8MP telephoto lens supports 3x optical zoom and up to 30x digital zoom. For selfies and video calls, the phone uses a 12MP front camera with an 85-degree field of view.
The battery capacity stands at 4,900mAh. The phone supports 45W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. It also supports 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4. A USB Type-C port handles charging and wired connections. An in-display fingerprint sensor provides biometric security.
The phone measures about 7.4mm in thickness. It weighs around 193 grams. Therefore, it keeps a slim profile despite the large screen and battery.
Overall, the Galaxy S26 FE gives buyers a more affordable entry into the latest Galaxy S26 series. It combines a 120Hz AMOLED display, Exynos 2500 processor, 50MP OIS camera, telephoto lens, wireless charging and IP68 protection. Internationally, it sits below the higher-end S26 models. Indian buyers will still need official local pricing before judging its value in the domestic market.
