Vivo Confirms T5 5G Launch Date in India
Vivo has announced the launch date of the T5 5G in India. The company shared the news on Tuesday. The phone will join the existing T5 lineup. This series already includes the T5 Lite 5G, T5x 5G, and T5 Pro 5G. Vivo has also teased several key features of the upcoming device. It will feature a 1.5K 144Hz display. A MediaTek Dimensity 7500 Turbo chipset will power the phone. The handset will come in two colour options and is expected to carry a 7,050mAh battery.
The Vivo T5 5G will launch in India on September 2 at 12pm IST. It will be available in Royal Bronze and Silver Green finishes. Flipkart has set up a dedicated microsite for the launch. This suggests the phone may go on sale through Flipkart as well as the Vivo India online store.
Vivo says the new T-series phone will feature Skyline Design. The same design language recently appeared on the Vivo S2. Teaser images show a horizontal camera bar on the upper half of the rear panel. The bar houses two camera lenses and an LED light ring. The phone appears to have a curved design. It will run on OriginOS, with OriginOS 6 as the latest version offered by the brand.
The Vivo T5 5G measures 7.9mm in thickness. The company claims it offers the segment’s slimmest 3D curved display in the Rs. 34,999 to Rs. 49,999 price range. This indicates the phone will likely be priced under Rs. 50,000 in India.
It will feature a 1.5K 144Hz 3D curved AMOLED display. A centred hole-punch cutout at the top of the screen houses the selfie camera. Under the hood, the phone will use a MediaTek Dimensity 7500 Turbo processor. Vivo has not yet revealed the RAM and storage options.
The device is confirmed to pack a 7,050mAh battery. More details are expected closer to the launch in early September.
