iQOO 16: Key Specs and Geekbench Performance Insights

The iQOO 16 smartphone, featuring advanced hardware, is set to launch later this year.

iQOO is widely expected to unveil its next flagship smartphone later this year. The device will carry the name iQOO 16. Reports suggest the company will first launch it in China. A global debut will follow later.

The unannounced handset has now appeared on Geekbench. It carries the model number V2606A. This listing confirms the iQOO 16 name and reveals key hardware details.

The phone uses an octa-core chipset based on ARMv8 architecture. Its base frequency stands at 3.74 GHz. The core setup includes two cores at 5.01 GHz, three cores at 4.03 GHz, and three cores at 3.74 GHz.

No current processor matches this exact configuration. However, the architecture and the identifier QTI SM8975 closely match Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chip. Qualcomm has not yet officially announced this processor.

The listing shows approximately 14.87 GB of RAM. The company will likely market it as 16 GB. The device runs Android 17. It may ship with the next version of OriginOS, known as OriginOS 7.

Benchmark results offer an early performance view. In Geekbench 6.7.1, the phone scored 3,434 points in the single-core test. It achieved 9,334 points in the multi-core test.

For comparison, the iQOO 15 with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip scored 3,647 single-core and 10,206 multi-core points in earlier tests.

More details should emerge closer to the official launch. iQOO has not yet announced a release date.
