OnePlus 16 Leak Points to Bigger Battery and 185Hz Screen
OnePlus 16 may arrive in China soon as the follow-up to OnePlus 15. The company has not confirmed official specs yet. However, a well-known tipster has shared several key details.
Digital Chat Station posted the claims on Weibo. According to that leak, OnePlus 16 could use a 9,000mAh battery. That would mark a clear jump from the OnePlus 15’s 7,300mAh cell. If the figure holds, the phone would sit among the largest-battery flagships.
The same reports point to a more efficient Oppo-designed power setup. It is said to support low-voltage discharge. In addition, the display may reach a 185Hz refresh rate. Last year’s model used a 165Hz AMOLED panel. Therefore, the screen would be another visible upgrade.
A Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset is also in the rumours. The rear camera setup is expected to stay triple-lens. One leak says the main camera could be a 200-megapixel unit with a larger sensor. That would improve on the OnePlus 15’s 50-megapixel primary camera.
Earlier reports add more camera detail. The phone may also carry a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens and a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera. A 50-megapixel front camera is tipped for selfies and video calls.
OnePlus has not announced a launch date. Still, some rumours place a China debut in October. The phone is said to use a 6.78-inch custom BOE Oriental Screen 4.0. That panel may use X4 luminescent material. ColorOS 17 is expected out of the box.
Pricing remains unofficial. Previous leaks put the starting price near CNY 4,999, or about Rs. 71,000. These details can change before launch. For now, the leak paints OnePlus 16 as a flagship built around battery life, a faster screen, and a new Snapdragon chip.
