Oppo Watch S2 Launches in China at CNY 1,599
Oppo launched the Watch S2 in China on Tuesday. The watch arrived with the Find X10, Find X10 Pro Max, Find X10 E, and Enco X4 earbuds. It goes on sale in China this week through Oppo’s website. Three colours are offered. Oppo claims up to 10 days of battery life. The watch has a round dial and a crown on the right. It ships with the latest ColorOS Watch software.
The only variant costs CNY 1,599, or about Rs. 23,000. Sales start on September 24 through the Oppo China online store. Colour options are Vibrant Orange, Misty Powder, and Mountain Shadow Grey.
The watch runs ColorOS Watch 17. The display is a 1.46-inch AMOLED panel at 464 x 464 pixels. Pixel density is 317 ppi. Peak brightness is listed at 1,500 nits. A glass cover sits over a round stainless-steel case. The strap is fluoro-rubber. Compatible phones include Android 10 or newer and iOS 14 or later.
Sensors include an accelerometer, gyroscope, geomagnetic sensor, barometer, and ambient light sensor. Health hardware includes an optical heart-rate sensor, SpO2 sensor, ECG sensor, and wrist-temperature sensor. Oppo lists more than 100 sports modes, fall detection, a 60-second health check, heart-rate and blood-oxygen tracking, sleep scoring, and physical and mental state assessment.
A FatMax “Super Fat Burning Mode” is meant to guide workouts in real time. Oppo says it estimates fat-burning efficiency, fat used, and glucose used. The watch offers more than 1,000 faces, NFC, and gesture controls. Durability ratings are 5ATM, IP69, and IP69K.
The case measures 45 x 45 x 8.9mm. Weight is about 34.4g without the strap. The battery is 339mAh. Oppo claims up to 10 days on a charge, up to four days with an always-on display, and up to seven days with casual use. Global availability has not been announced.
