Redmi introduced the Turbo 5 in India on Tuesday. This marks the debut of the Turbo series from the Xiaomi sub-brand. The new smartphone targets users who want strong performance and a large battery in one device. Moreover, it offers a premium experience at a competitive price.

The Redmi Turbo 5 comes in three attractive colours: Asphalt Black, Nitro Blue, and Turbo White. It will go on sale soon through major platforms.

Redmi Turbo 5 Price in India and Availability

The base variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage starts at Rs. 37,999. Meanwhile, the higher 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model costs Rs. 40,999.

Buyers can avail discounts of up to Rs. 2,000 using SBI, ICICI Bank, or Axis Bank credit cards. The smartphone will go on sale in India on June 19 via Amazon.

Redmi Turbo 5 Specifications and Features

The Redmi Turbo 5 runs on Android 16-based HyperOS 3. The company promises four years of OS upgrades and six years of security patches.

It features a large 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display. This panel supports up to 120Hz refresh rate, 3,500 nits peak brightness, Dolby Vision, and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection. Additionally, it offers excellent touch sampling rates and 3,840Hz PWM dimming for smooth visuals.

Power comes from the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset. This octa-core processor reaches up to 3.4GHz and delivers strong performance. In fact, the phone scores over 2,300,000 points on AnTuTu benchmarks. For better heat management, it includes a 3D Ice-Loop Cooling system with a large 5,300 sq mm dissipation area.

On the camera front, the device sports a dual rear setup. The 50-megapixel main sensor (Sony IMX882) features optical and electronic stabilisation. It pairs with an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens. Users also get a 20-megapixel front camera for sharp selfies. The phone can record videos up to 4K at 60fps.

Furthermore, the Redmi Pixel Matrix around the camera lenses shows useful notifications.

The handset packs a massive 7,540mAh battery. It supports 100W fast wired charging and 27W reverse charging. As a result, users can enjoy extended usage throughout the day.
