Mac Mini M6 Geekbench Listing Points to Gains Over M5
Apple introduced the M6 chip in August. It also updated the Mac mini with that silicon. An early benchmark listing now offers a look at expected performance. The alleged Mac mini M6 appears with 32GB of memory and a 12-core CPU. Two Super cores lead the design. The scores suggest a clear multi-core gain over the outgoing M5.
A listing for Mac18,5 has appeared on Geekbench, via Notebookcheck. That identifier is believed to be the Mac mini M6. The system is shown running macOS 27.0, build 26A428, with 32GB of memory.
The chip looks like a 12-core design. It has two Super cores, four performance cores, and six efficiency cores. The listing does not name the processor outright. The three-tier layout matches the CPU structure Apple described for the M6.
The mini PC is said to have scored 4,610 points in the single-core test. The multi-core score is 20,676. Notebookcheck’s median for the 10-core M5, based on five runs, is 4,195 single-core and 17,072 multi-core. That would put the M6 Mac mini about 10 percent ahead in single-core and about 20 percent ahead in multi-core.
The same result can be set beside Apple’s A20 Pro, which powers the iPhone 18 Pro series. A recent listing gave the phone chip 4,725 points in single-core, with a peak clock of 4.93GHz. That is about 2.5 percent above the M6’s reported 4,610. The A20 Pro multi-core score of 12,575 sits well below the purported M6 result.
These figures come from an early listing. Final software and more samples may change the comparison. Broader Mac mini M6 results should give a clearer picture.
